The Men & Women of Until
[Swan Dive update]
note: This is a guided visual tour of how we were able to come up with the final designs for the Men & Women of SWAN DIVE's UNTIL music video. Each photo is numbered and explained in detail below. Click each photo (to open link in a new tab - if you are using Firefox browser) for larger view.

[2] King and I agreed that I'm designing the look of the "men of Until" because I want the costumes simpler and more manly. (I feel that there are no metrosexuals in the "world of Until".) This is the sketch of two of the costumes I made for the main cast. I also added a new element for the women....a flaming umbrella.
[3] One of my sketches in 2006 was made as a peg.
[4] Another one of my sketches showing facial tattooes, indicating a "social class". In Until, we will incorporate facial tattooes to both men and women and it shall be considered part of their make-up. Meaning, to them (and, in their world), it's a fashion thingee. I also didn't want that in Until they have a social class so I told King not to design clothes with social classes in mind.
[5] one of my sketches (circa 2006) showing a different way of putting make-up or tattooes depending on how you see it. Since the art of tattooing, a Eurasiam practice, can be traced as early as the Neolithic period, I thought it was apt to incorporate it with the men and women of Until because the setting of Until's world is set inside "stoned walls" (which I can visually connect with the Neolithic period).
[6] one of my sketches for an underground comics I was doing in 2006. (unreleased)
[7] My simple designs for the "men of Until" can also be compared to how I design "superheroes" of late (early 2000 to present) - as shown here in the costume for a hero named "Decimation Kid".
[8] The "sexy look" in creating costumes for contemporary superheroes is highlighted in the new (and updated) costumes I designed for an old superhero group named "Blast" (created in 1990). Their costumes are more rooted in reality minus the underwear worn outside the spandex pants. Here, only the underwear's waistband is seen.
[9] A closer look at my designs for the Men of Until.
[10] My specific design for "Tito Wanch" (Harold).
[11] A photo sample of how "Tito Wanch" would look like in the actual costume. (modeled by....who else, but.....Tito Wanch!!!) Click the photo for details of the upper-part of the costume.
[12] My design for the costume of Miggy (Paolo Miguel Lopez).
[13] Miggy himself samples the costume!!!
[14] The added accessory: the flaming umbrella.
[15] Details of the upper-part of the "women of Until". (modeled by Blezi - one of the main cast of the music video.)
[16] The flaming umbrella is one of the accessories design for my short film, "Kronus". This is my sketch of the costume for the said short film.
[17] The sketch of "the flaming umbrella" in Kronus.
[18] The sketch of "the flaming umbrella" for Until.
[19] Blezi models the upper costume of the women (without details). This is Blezi's music video debut though we worked together for an "art photo-shoot" used for one of my artworks for eXodus, my current art exhibit.
[20] Tito Wanch models his upper costume for Until. This is Tito Wanch's music video debut.
[21] Miggy models his upper costume for Until. Miggy appeared in three of my short films and is a supporting cast in my debut full-length. (He also appeared in Moonstar88's music video way back, directed by Denise Castillo.)
