Iloilo never had this kind of tragedy in the past. Nobody saw this one coming. With the worst natural disaster experienced by Region VI, fellow Ilonggos based everywhere else can't help but be shocked at the tragedy. Since Saturday, I have been monitoring (in a span of 24 hours) the activity of the storm via DZMM (the only radio station that went on a special marathon broadcast for this). Although I am thankful that my family is very safe (Arevalo, my hometown, did not experience the flood), many of my kasimanwas badly need help. Somewhere outside Region VI, many others were hit by the typhoon and the sinking of a ship with more than 700 passengers made things worst. I feel this is time for us to pause and reflect. It is time for us to extend an arm to our fellow Filipinos. After this, they proceed to meeting up with their actual clients and plan their first major output, a corporate video. I like both classes because they show so much promise (except for a handful of latecomers who irritates me 'coz we all wake up 5am just to arrive in school early). Plus the APC students are diligent kids and very helpful (a rarity these days!). Boy, I am so surprised. I hope they do keep up so they'd all end up doing a kick-as* final DVD which, I hope, they can use as their video portfolio. I love APC. I mean, do you know of a college that's literally situated in the highway? I'm like 5 seconds away from Gonuts Donuts and 2 blocks away from Starbucks and Brothers Burger! hahaha!
